Lab Director: Janet Frick, PhD.

Frick

Dr. Frick has been a member of the faculty at UGA since 1997. She grew up in Missouri and received her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Kansas. She has been intrigued with babies and how they learn for as long as she can remember, and feels very lucky that she gets to study them (and teach students about them) for a living! She and her husband Steve have two children as well as a collection of cats. In her spare time, Dr. Frick enjoys photography, hiking, playing piano, and singing in her church choir. 

Graduate Researchers: 

Addison Montroy

Addison has been a member of the Infant Lab since August 2022. She graduated with dual degrees in Psychology (B.S.) and Child and Family Development (B.S.) from Georgia Southern University. Addison is interested in studying joint attention and factors that influence the development of attention such as caregiver interactions and technology. Addison is originally from Jacksonville Beach, FL and she enjoys spending time with her dog, Barley, home brewing beer and mead, and gardening. 

Meg Fyan 

Meg has been a member of the Infant Lab since August 2023. She graduated with her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. Meg's research interests are infant movement, attention, and language development and the cascading effects the three have on infant development. She is also interested in infant executive function and exploring how executive function develops. Meg is originally from Phoenix, AZ and she loves to travel, bake, and spend time outside. 

Kate Lindig

Kate has been a member of the Infant Lab since August 2023. She graduated with her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Texas Christian University with Upper and Lower Division Honors in May 2023. Her research interests include links between parental caregiving behaviors, such as sensitivity, and various developmental outcomes in infants and children. Additionally, she is interested in finding valid physiological measures for constructs in infants and children, such as emotional regulation, that have traditionally relied entirely on parent report. Kate is originally from Houston, Texas, and enjoys baking, singing, and spending time with family and friends.

Barley

Barley has been a member of the Infant Lab since August 2022. Barley is interested in researching human mechanisms to increase feeding dogs more pepperoni. In his free time, Barley likes bird watching, playing fetch, and long walks.
